Seven cascading waterfalls, natural rock pools, a zipline that flies you over the falls, and the best kept secret in Jamaica's waterfall scene.
YS Falls in St. Elizabeth is the waterfall most Jamaicans send their visiting friends to instead of Dunn's River. Seven tiered cascades, deep natural swimming pools at every level, a tractor-pulled jitney ride through 2,200 acres of working farmland to get to the falls, and a quieter, more authentic feel than the cruise-port-adjacent attractions.
We run YS as a half-day private tour from Negril (about 60 minutes each way) or a full-day from Montego Bay or Ocho Rios. You're at the falls within 10 minutes of arriving — no group corralling, no tour bus queues.
The things worth doing, told straight by people who run this trip every week.
The falls drop through seven natural pools. You swim each one. The top pool has a rope swing into the deepest of them — local kids do it all day.
Optional add-on — a guided zipline tour that flies you across the falls and through the surrounding tree canopy. About 45 minutes. Worth it if you've got the energy.
Getting from the entrance to the falls is half the fun — open-air tractor ride through cattle fields, banana groves, and the working farm that surrounds the falls. Very Jamaica.
There's a Tarzan-style rope swing at the top pool that drops you about 12 feet into clear, deep water. Optional. Highly recommended.
